The Traceable Marine Plastic Process

From Ocean Waste to Sustainable Products

At CHX Products, we believe in turning the environmental crisis of ocean plastic pollution into an opportunity for positive change. Working with Water Haul, we work to transform marine plastic waste – particularly discarded fishing nets and ocean-bound plastic – into high-quality promotional products that tell a powerful sustainability story.

The Three-Stage Traceable Marine Plastic Process

Stage 1: Marine Plastic Recovery and Processing

The journey begins in UK waters, where marine plastic waste is systematically collected from our oceans, beaches, and coastal areas. This isn’t just any plastic – it’s fully traceable material that we can track from collection point to finished product.

Water Haul specialise in recovering end-of-life fishing gear before it becomes “ghost gear” – those deadly nets that continue trapping marine life long after they’re abandoned. By intercepting this waste, it is being prevented from causing further environmental damage whilst creating valuable raw material.

The collected plastic undergoes rigorous sorting and cleaning processes before being transformed into pellets right here in the UK. This local processing reduces transport emissions and ensures we maintain complete supply chain transparency.

Stage 2: Solar-Powered Manufacturing

These traceable marine plastic pellets then arrive at our Cornwall facility, where the real magic happens. Using injection moulding technology powered entirely by renewable solar energy, we transform the recycled pellets into premium promotional products.

Our Planet Positive Promise extends to every aspect of production. We use plant-based inks for all printing, ensuring that all of our processes align with our environmental commitments. Each product is manufactured to order, eliminating overproduction and reducing waste.

Stage 3: Zero Waste Commitment

Here’s where our process truly stands apart: we achieve 0% plastic waste. Any offcuts from production or products that don’t meet our quality standards aren’t discarded – they’re fed straight back into our production cycle.

This circular approach means every gram of traceable marine plastic we use serves a purpose. Nothing goes to landfill, nothing is wasted. It’s a system that maximises the environmental benefit of every piece of marine debris we rescue.

Introducing the Traceable Marine Plastic Range:

We’re proud to launch the first products in our Traceable Marine Plastic range. These high-quality promotional products represents everything our process stands for – exceptional quality, complete traceability, and genuine environmental impact.

Made from plastic that was once polluting our marine environment, these products serve as a conversation starter about ocean conservation. Your customers can proudly share the story of how their branded merchandise helped clean our oceans.

Why Traceable Marine Plastic Matters

When you choose Traceable Marine Plastic products, you’re not just selecting promotional merchandise – you’re actively participating in ocean restoration. Every product represents plastic that’s no longer threatening marine life, polluting our beaches, or breaking down into microplastics.

As we continue developing new products in this range, we’re expanding the impact. More products mean more ocean plastic recovered, more renewable energy used, and more powerful sustainability stories for your customers to share.

The CHX Difference

Our unique model means we can provide you with all the marketing resources you need to promote these products effectively. From material traceability stories to environmental impact data, we can equip you with everything necessary to help your customers understand the true value of choosing Traceable Marine Plastic.

This isn’t just about creating products from recycled content – it’s about creating a movement. Every Traceable Marine Plastic product sold represents a step towards cleaner oceans, a healthier planet, and a more sustainable future for promotional merchandise.

“The scale of ocean plastic pollution is staggering with abandoned, lost, or otherwise discarded fishing gear (ALDFG) considered the largest contributor to sea-based sources of marine plastic debris (UNEP, 2016). This crisis drove us to develop our Traceable Marine Plastic material range.”
