CHX Products Welcomes New Sales Team Members
CHX Products is delighted to introduce two new members to our sales team: Cara Hearn, Sales Manager, and Jake Field, Senior Sales Manager. Many of you may have already been speaking to, emailing or even meeting them at events over the past month, and they’ve both brought fresh energy and enthusiasm to CHX.
Both Cara and Jake have quickly immersed themselves in the sustainable merchandise industry, and we asked them what they’ve found most exciting so far in their new roles.
Jake Field – Senior Sales Manager
“The most exciting thing is the environmental change we can make – taking marine recovered plastic and repurposing it into our products, which means we could genuinely see the impact of say a weekend beach clean transformed into branded merchandise by 2026.”
Coming from the branded workwear industry, Jake has been struck by the collaborative nature of the promotional merchandise sector. “From the industry, it looks like everyone seems to get on with everyone. It’s more of a friendly nature rather than a competitive nature,” he observes. “Everyone seems to still be able to be friendly rather than just having that knife cutting business approach.”
What drew Jake to CHX was our story. “CHX is small, a family business with UK manufacturing and recycling – they’ve got a real story here and a mission they’re looking to go for. Rather than trying to sell a product, they’re selling a story.”
Having witnessed our Ocean Positive initiative firsthand, Jake is particularly excited about the tangible environmental impact: “We were on the beach taking plastic off the beach and we’re going to see if we can repurpose that into our products. That’s really exciting – that we are going to see the changes on beaches potentially by going out on a weekend, picking up rubbish and then bringing it into work and turning it into our products.”
Cara Hearn – Sales Manager
Cara is brand new to the industry, and her first day certainly threw her in at the deep end. “On my first day, I drove up north to attend three days of tabletop events,” she recalls. “It was really interesting because I got to meet all the directors and various different heads of departments within these distributors. It was definitely an interesting experience!”
What Cara has quickly come to appreciate is the fast-paced, creative nature of the work. “The actual industry itself is very fast paced. The bit that I love the most is the diverse questions that we get asked. It can be anything from trolley coins to very specific orders – for example, we had a customer interested in finding something for llama feeding. It’s these weird and wonderful orders where we can be a little bit more creative and really show off what we can do.”
Customer Service and Fast-Paced Solutions
Both Jake and Cara are aligned on what makes CHX special for our distributor customers. As Jake puts it: “We do provide sustainable, recycled products – that ticks a lot of boxes. But the main thing to take away is we are here for fast paced solutions. We’re looking for a way to be able to meet your needs no matter how weird and wonderful they may be. Bespoke orders are becoming more normal these days, and it’s being able to cater to those needs in a timely manner.”
Cara echoes this sentiment: “We provide that amazing customer service. We’re here for fast-paced solutions and being able to meet your needs in the way you’ve asked, but also in a timely manner.”
The entire team at CHX is excited to have Jake and Cara on board, and we’re looking forward to them continuing to bring their enthusiasm and dedication to serving our distributor customers.
