CHX Products expands its sustainable material portfolio with the introduction of Bio-Polymer products – promotional merchandise made from renewable sugarcane and maize feedstock by-products.
We are proud to announce the launch of our bio-polymer range, offering distributors another sustainable material option across popular promotional products in our keyring and trolley coin ranges.
Bio-polymer brings plant-based innovation to CHX’s proven manufacturing processes. Made from sugarcane and maize feedstock by-products, the material is engineered to match traditional plastic performance whilst maintaining biodegradability at end of life.
From Field to Factory
The journey begins with sugarcane or maize harvest, where by-products from production are transformed into biodegradable polymer pellets. These arrive at our solar-powered Bodmin facility ready to be moulded using the same injection moulding equipment used for the company’s recycled plastic ranges.
When the bio-polymer arrives at our factory, something remarkable happens, as we heat and mould the material, the facility fills with the distinctive sweet aroma of sugar and caramel – a daily reminder that these products come from renewable agricultural sources.
Expanding Customer Choice
Bio-Polymer joins our established portfolio of sustainable materials, including standard recycled plastic, R+ (recycled with biodegradable additive), and Traceable Marine Plastic.
Different customers have different sustainability priorities, with some focussing on circular economy principles with our recycled ranges. Others are drawn to the renewable origins of bio-polymer. We’re building a comprehensive portfolio that meets diverse needs without compromising on quality or turnaround times.
All bio-polymer products maintain our zero-waste manufacturing approach, with every off cut reused for new products.
